How do I void (cancel) a sent envelope?
Cancel an envelope you've already sent so it can no longer be signed.
Voiding cancels an envelope you have already sent. Recipients can no longer open or sign it, and the envelope is marked Voided. Use it when a document was sent in error or is no longer valid.
Void an envelope
- Find the envelope in your list. Voiding is available while the status is Pending or Partially signed.
- Open the row ⋮ menu and choose Void.
- In the confirmation dialog, type the word
confirmto acknowledge the action. - Confirm to void the envelope.
Voiding is irreversible
Once voided, an envelope cannot be reopened or sent again. If you still need signatures, create a new envelope — you can duplicate the voided one to reuse its documents and recipients.
You can only void an envelope that is out for signature. A Draft hasn't been sent yet (just delete or edit it), and a Completed envelope is already finished.
