How do I download the signed document and certificate?
Save the signed PDF and its certificate of completion in one file or a ZIP.
Once an envelope is signed, you can download the finished document along with its audit trail — a certificate of completion that proves who signed, when, and from where.
Download the files
- Find the envelope in your list. Downloading is available at any time from the row ⋮ menu.
- Open the ⋮ menu and choose Download PDF.
- In the What to download dialog, pick one option:
- Files only — just the signed document(s).
- Files + audit trail — the signed document(s) plus the certificate of completion.
- Audit trail only — just the certificate.
- Optionally turn on Merge all files into one PDF. When off, multiple files download as a ZIP.
- Confirm. The download opens in a new tab.
Allow pop-ups
The download opens in a new browser tab, so allow pop-ups for the site if nothing appears.
The audit trail PDF is the certificate of completion — it's tamper-evident and lists every event (created, sent, viewed, signed, completed) with the signer's browser, device, IP, and location. You can also view it on screen from the Audit trail option in the ⋮ menu.
