How do I correct a sent envelope?
Fix documents, recipients, or fields on an envelope after you've sent it.
If you spot a mistake after sending — a wrong email address, a missing field, or an outdated document — you can put the envelope into correction mode and make changes without starting over.
Correct an envelope
- Find the sent envelope in your list. Correction is available while the status is Pending (sent, not yet signed).
- Open the row ⋮ menu and choose Correct envelope. If you started a correction earlier, the option reads Continue correction.
- Make your changes in the editor — update documents, recipients, or fields as needed.
- Re-send the envelope so recipients get the corrected version.
Correction is only available while the envelope is Pending. Once someone has signed (status Partially signed), you can no longer correct it — void it and send a fresh envelope instead.
If the option is unavailable or the correction won't open, the envelope's state has usually changed (for example, a recipient just signed). Refresh the list and check the current status.
