How do I send a reminder to signers?

Nudge recipients who haven't signed yet with a reminder email.

When a signer is taking their time, you can send a reminder email to prompt them — no need to resend the whole envelope.

Send a reminder

  1. Find the envelope in your list. Reminders are available while the status is Pending or Partially signed.
  2. Open the row ⋮ menu and choose Send Reminders.
  3. Pick the eligible signers you want to remind.
  4. Send. You'll see a confirmation that signature reminder emails have been queued.

Who can be reminded

  • Only recipients who still need to act — those in a Sent or Viewed state with an email and signing link.
  • Copy (CC) recipients and the Me (sender) role are never reminded, since they don't sign.
  • If the envelope uses a signing order, only the current signer can be reminded — later signers haven't received their turn yet.

Prefer reminders to go out on their own? Set up automatic reminders in the envelope's settings before sending — you can choose when the first reminder goes out, how many are sent, and whether they repeat.
