Document blocks
How do I build a quote?
Create an interactive quote where recipients pick packages and add-ons, and totals update live.
The Quote builder block creates an interactive quote. Instead of a fixed price list, you build sections of selectable items — the recipient chooses a package, toggles optional add-ons, and adjusts quantities while signing, and the total recalculates automatically.
Add the block
- In the editor, open the Doc Blocks tab and drag the Quote builder (under Data) onto the document.
- Double-click the block to author its sections and items in place.
Build sections and items
- Use Add section and give it a title and optional description.
- Choose the section's selection mode:
- All included — every item in the section is included.
- Pick one — the recipient chooses exactly one item (great for pricing tiers or packages).
- Add-ons — the recipient toggles optional extras on or off.
- Add items with Add item. For each item set an item name, optional description, quantity, and unit price. You can also mark an item as:
- Optional and Selected by default,
- Editable quantity (with a minimum and maximum),
- Recurring — One-time, Monthly, or Yearly (shown as a label for the recipient).
Quote settings
Select the block to open the right-sidebar settings:
- Design — Minimal, Bordered, or Branded.
- Currency — a preset or Custom (code, symbol, symbol position, decimals).
- Discount — turn on Quote discount and enter a value as a percentage or a flat amount.
- Tax — add tax rows (GST / VAT / Sales Tax presets or Custom; Exclusive or Inclusive).
- Totals — turn on Show subtotal and set the Subtotal and Total labels.
- Payment — turn on Collect payment for this block to let the recipient pay the selected total after signing.
Use Pick one for tiers (e.g. Basic / Pro / Enterprise) and Add-ons for optional extras. The recipient's choices recalculate the total on the server, so the amount you collect always matches what they selected.
