How do I create a template?

Create a new blank template from the Templates page and start setting it up.

You create a template from the Templates page. BunnyDoc makes a blank draft and takes you straight to the Set up page, where you add your documents, signer roles, and default message.

Create a blank template

Open the Templates page from the sidebar. If your company has no templates yet, you will see an empty state that reads "No templates yet — Use Create template above to add your first blueprint."

  1. On the Templates page, click Create in the header. The button briefly shows "Creating…" while BunnyDoc builds a new blank draft.
  2. You are routed automatically to the template's Set up page.
  3. Follow Set up a template to add documents, signer roles, and a default email message.
  4. Then place your fields on the Add fields to a template page.

There is no "create from an existing envelope" option in the interface. To build a template, start blank with Create and upload the documents on the Set up page.

If you see an Upgrade tag on the Templates page, templates are not included in your current plan. Ask your account owner to upgrade to unlock them.
