Manage tax rates

Create, edit, and set default tax rates that you apply to invoice line items.

Tax Rates is where you define the tax rates available when building invoices and quotes. Each rate has a type, a percentage, and can be marked as your default.

View your tax rates

Go to Settings → Tax Rates. The list shows each rate's Code, Tax type, Rate %, whether it's the Default, and its Status.

Add a tax rate

  1. Click to add a new tax rate.
  2. Choose a Tax type.
  3. Enter the Rate percent (0–100, in steps of 0.01).
  4. Turn on Set as default if this should be the rate applied automatically.
  5. Save the rate.

Edit a tax rate

Open an existing rate to change its percentage or default status.

The Tax type is read-only when editing — you can only set it when first creating the rate.

When editing, an Active toggle lets you deactivate a rate you no longer use without deleting it.
