How do I share a public template with my team?
Give teammates full management access to a public template without affecting the visitor link.
Sharing a public template with a teammate gives them full management access to it — so they can edit the documents, signers, messaging, and link alongside you. This is separate from the public visitor link, which outside people use.
Share it
- Go to Public templates.
- On the template's row, open the actions menu and choose Share with team.
- In the Share public template dialog, grant access to the teammates you want.
The dialog explains that “Sharing grants full management access… The public visitor link is unaffected.” Sharing changes who on your team can manage the template — it does not change or expose the visitor link.
How access works
Sharing uses an allow/deny model — there are no separate view-only or edit-only tiers:
- Allow (“Can access”) grants a teammate full access to the template.
- Deny (“Denied”) explicitly blocks a teammate.
- Revoke removes the explicit setting, so access falls back to their role defaults.
One level of access
Sharing is all-or-nothing — a teammate you share with can fully manage the template. There is no read-only sharing tier.
Team vs. visitor access
Keep the two straight — Share with team controls which teammates can manage the template, while the public link is what outside visitors open to submit their details.
