Public templates

How do I get, share, and rotate the public link?

Retrieve the visitor link, share it, and rotate it to invalidate the old one.

Every public template has a public link — a token-backed URL that outside visitors open to submit their signer details. You retrieve it, share it however you like, and can rotate it whenever you want to cut off the old one.

  1. Go to Public templates.
  2. On the template's row, open the actions menu and choose Retrieve sharable link.
  3. The URL is copied to your clipboard — you'll see “Sharable link copied to clipboard.” Paste it wherever you want to share it.

Share it

The link is just a URL, so you can drop it into an email, a chat message, a website button, or a QR code — anywhere your visitors will find it. Anyone who opens it lands on the public visitor page for this template.

If a link has been shared too widely or you want to retire it, use Rotate link from the row actions. Rotating invalidates the old URL and generates a fresh one. Retrieve the new link and re-share it with the people who still need it.

Rotating breaks the old link

After you rotate, anyone holding the previous URL can no longer use it. Make sure you distribute the new link to everyone who should still have access.

Turn it on or off

A public template has an Active / Inactive status. Set it to Inactive to stop accepting new submissions without deleting the template or changing the link. Switch it back to Active when you're ready again.

Deleting the template entirely stops the public link from working — you'll be warned that “The public link will stop working.”
