How do I create a folder?

Add a new folder to organise your envelopes, at the top level or nested inside another.

Folders help you group related envelopes so they're easy to find later. You can create them at the top level or tuck them inside an existing folder.

Create a folder

  1. Open the Envelopes area and find the Folders panel.
  2. Choose to create a new folder. The Create Folder dialog opens.
  3. Enter a Name for the folder (up to 100 characters).
  4. Set the Location:
    • Top level to create a standalone folder, or
    • Under another folder to nest it inside an existing one.
  5. Confirm to create the folder.

Nesting depth

You can nest folders up to 5 levels deep — enough to mirror a client → project → year structure without getting lost.

From the Folders panel you can also rename and move folders later, so you don't have to get the structure perfect the first time.
