How do I link contacts to organisations?
Group contacts under an organisation, assign a role, and mark the primary contact.
Organisations let you group individual contacts under a company or business, so you can see who belongs to which account and bill the organisation as a whole.
Link a contact to an organisation
- Open Contacts and create or edit a contact.
- In the contact drawer, find the Organisations section.
- Choose the organisation to link the contact to.
- Set the contact's role within that organisation.
- Mark the contact as primary if they are the main point of contact for the organisation.
- Save the contact.
A contact can be linked to an organisation with a role, and one contact can be marked as the primary contact for that organisation.
Creating organisations
Organisations have their own create flow, separate from adding a person. Create the organisation first, then link contacts to it — or link a contact to an organisation while editing the contact.
Using organisations when billing
When you build an invoice or quote, the Bill to step's contact picker lets you choose either an individual contact or an organisation, so you can address a document to the whole business.
